Why don't we eliminate our national debt by not sending aid to any country that is openly Anti American?
There is more than 1 kind of aid and we give away trillions of dollars a year.

Our debt does not come from aid given to other countries.

you are so right. how about if we called in a few loans that never got paid back? we need to think about us first for a change. why import and at the same time export oil? it makes no sense.
na.. too many countries hate USA and American policies (and for good reason)…
better way of eliminating debt would be to kill off all welfare recipiants and their kids.. or heck… quit supporting wars overseas.. or hmmm.. so many other things…

One problem with that –
Wouldn’t that make us hypocrites? I mean, we preach "freedom of speech" and "freedom of expression", and we pride ourselves on the fact that every individual in this nation has that right. But yet when a nation expresses dissatisfaction with us, we will state, "sorry – no soup for you!"?
We could take it a step further and listen to George Washington: the whole entangling alliances thing seems to have been quietly booted out the window. In other words, no aid to other nations; no involvement at all, in fact, except to trade with them.
Better yet. Lets start a group and call it the salvation navy. We send "I dont care packages" to nations who we have given aid to in the past and demand that they fill the boxes with items of commercial value which can be sold at auction to pay back the money we gave them.
It’s actually about 36 billion a year at least that was the budget request.
