How exactly do rich people exploit poor people again?
Last time I checked, the "poor working class" have gazillions of chances to better themselves. But isn’t it natural that there are successful people and poor people in a society, as some people just have more incentive than others. I thinks that’s the flaw of communism and socialism. It fails to realize that peoples incentives are what portends their income. Rich people are the ones that own the companies, the ones that employ people. A society where everyone is fair in terms of income would always fail because why would someone want to be a ceo when they could be a janitor and get paid the same. A truly perfect society is one where people have enormous incentive, where the employer chooses how much you’re worth.
Gerber, I get your point, but sadly welfare is severely abused. And plus, morons are on the street by their actions.
By giving them jobs.
Sad really, forcing them to work for a living. That’s why Democans want to change all that by just taking the money away from the rich, and giving it right to the poor without that ugly *work* thing being needed.
Thank God for Democans, here to kill the economy!
Yes, in china the employer foxconn decides its workers are worth less than slaves.
Sounds rosy, doesn’t it?
Honestly, think this one through a bit more, you’re on the right track with communism and socialism being mental, but you’re hoping from one extreme to another
They’re also the ones who send jobs to India and Thailand. They’re also the ones who fool people into faulty investments, and who fire workers to make profits go up.
Well said.
Where did you check for your assumption? Sure, many do have opportunities that are wasted, because we are humans and most humans are morons. Programmable morons, but morons just the same. Do you want hundreds of morons hanging around on the street begging for change? Or would you rather have programs that help them get off the street and into jobs or affordable housing.
That isn’t communism, it is welfare. And believe me you’d know what it would be like if we didn’t have welfare. Look at Mexico.
The rich employ the poor. You answered your own question.
By making them work for money at a competitive wage instead of giving it to them. Exploitation is subjective.
America is known for opportunity. It is there for any who choose to pursue it. People are different; some take advantage of opportunity, some don’t. If rich people do exploit poor people, then our government is doing a lot of exploiting these days.
By paying taxes and subsidizing the liberal lifestyle which consists of sitting on their disgusting fat rear ends all day and sniveling about being victims whenever their welfare check is more than an hour late.
One example is through profit and surplus value. Profit is merely goods taken from a laborer to feed bourgeois employers; exploitation. Surplus value is money taken from the entire working class to feed bourgeoisie; exploitation. Both are taken from laborers who are employed merely as commodities; they sell themselves to be used by the bourgeoisie. Because the goal of a capitalist system is profits and surplus value, jobs and equal opportunities are not guaranteed; the right to own the products you produce is not guaranteed, and the means of production remain in the control of a select few. "Democracy" within the capitalist system is a lie as well. Employment in a socialist society is democratically based, and because there are no private individuals who own the means of production, there are no rich, idle, bourgeois.
The incentive in a socialist society is actually owning what you create, increasing the standard of living, improving social programs, democracy and democratic ownership of the workplace, and so forth. Wages are not entirely equalized in a socialist society as well. Furthermore, because there are equal opportunities, jobs such as janitor may be abolished over time. Unlike in the capitalist system where there are numerous factors into determining whether or not you gain a job, and once you do, you have no real control over your products or the environment in which you work. The most obvious and extreme example of abusive and exploitative action against the poor is in sweatshops, unregulated factories, and third world countries, which we all benefit from (as in their exploitation benefits us in the first world countries more than them… I am not a Maoist Third Worldist though).
