Check with the National Foundation for Credit Counselors, NFCC.org to find a reputable credit counselor in your area. Just make sure it is a reputable, non-profit company. Good luck!
To eliminate your debt you can take help of some credit counseling companies or some credit consolidation agencies who are reputed and bbb registered organisation. yes, i worked for consumer credit counseling service. it is a national non profit agency. you cannot remove bad credit for any amount of money. debt elimation does not happen(as far as i know) but you can work with a counselor to find out different options to lower liviing expenses and then see if you need help with your creditors. If you are not past due, try to make larger payments yourself, since your credit will be affected by going thru any re-payment program. It takes about 36 years to pay the average credit card unless you have a low %.
